Pizza Town

Last night we decided to go out to wing night at Pizza Town in Lower Sackville. We arrived just after 6pm, just before the rush started.

We were welcomed promptly and even recognized by our server from the last time we were there which was very nice and personable.

We decided to give their Garlic Fingers with Bacon and Mozza a try along with 30 Wings that we split. I went with the Forty Creek BBQ which had a deep smokey/whiskey sweet flavour and my wife with with the Sweet Thai Chili sauce. Neither was really spicy but the Sweet Thai Chili sauce did have a very light hint of heat. Taste wise all of our food was delicious and I was still impressed with the dough used as it was not think and doughy. It was thin, light, and airy with a crispy outter crust. One of the best, if not the best pizza crusts around from what I have tried and I have tried a lot of different pizza places.

As expected the first time we were there was a one-off as both the tables and floor appeared to be clean. Our waitress Crystal was great as expected. After speaking with her about the server situation, she mentioned that they have tried to hire another person but it is challenging in a smaller dining space and caused other issues, so she is their main server which is understandable because she was really great. She was checking on most people as she walked past to another table. Personally, I still think having someone to bus tables or help her on the dinning floor would help to improve the level of service. Even though she is a fantastic waitress, no one person can be in two places at the same time. To be clear this is not taking anything away from her because she works very hard, and did a great job for being one person, but if I am being honest, I did notice there were a few tables that were waiting longer than they should have been.

At the end of the day the quality of food is fantastic. The service was really good and at an affordable price. This will end up being our go-to for pizza, garlic fingers and wings for sure!
